When browsing events in WebLink, learners see a list of available training dates.
If a learner cannot attend any of the listed dates, you can enable the Training Request feature to allow them to request an alternative date for a course or learning path.
When enabled, a request link appears on the course page.
Selecting this link opens a request form that the learner can complete and submit.
When submitted, a new Opportunity is created and can be viewed in the Sales Opportunities section of the TMS. This allows your team to follow up, schedule training, or convert the request into a booking.
Configure the request form
Activate Training Requests via:
Control Panel → Portals → Training Requests
This setting enables the Training Request feature for your WebLink storefront.
Administrators can configure the following:
Public Request Entry Step – If a learner requests a public event, a new Booking is created in the selected workflow step.
Note: There must be a transition step between your WebLink entry step and the selected step. Configure this in Control Panel → Bookings Workflow.
Private Request Entry Step – If a learner requests a private event, a new Booking is created in the selected workflow step.
Note: There must be a transition step between your WebLink entry step and the selected step. Configure this in Control Panel → Bookings Workflow.
Success Message – The confirmation message displayed after the learner submits the request.
Request form fields
Administrators can configure which fields appear on the request form and what information is required from the learner.
The form must include:
- Interest
- Is Private?
Any field available on the Booking can be added to the form, along with a custom label displayed to the learner.
