When browsing events in WebLink, Learners are presented with a list of dates on which the training is available.
If the Learner can not attend any of those dates, then you may wish to offer the ability for a Learner to request a course or learning path on an alternative date.
To facilitate this, you can turn on the Training Request feature on WebLink.
In the screenshot below, you can see that when this feature is enabled, a link is shown to the Learner on the course page.
Clicking this page shows a form that the Learner can then submit.
When the Learner submits this form, a new opportunity is created and can be viewed in the Sales Opportunity section of the TMS.
Configuring the Request Form
The Request Form is activated via the Control Panel -> Portals -> Training Requests.
From here, administrators can configure:
Public Request Entry Step: If the learner requests a public event, a new Sales Opportunity will be created in the step specified here. Note: There must be a transition step between your WebLink entry step and the step you select here. This can be configured via Control Panel → Opportunities Workflow.
Private Request Entry Step: If the learner requests a public event, a new Sales Opportunity will be created in the step specified here. Note: There must be a transition step between your WebLink entry step and the step you select here. This can be configured via Control Panel → Opportunities Workflow.
Success Message: The message shown to learners after they submit a learning request.
Request Form
Here, the Administrator can configure what information is required from the Learner.
The form must include Interest and "Is Private?" but all other fields can be specified by the administrator.
Any field that is available on the Opportunity can be added to the form along with a label that will be shown to the Learner.
