Purpose: Use this article to add multiple learners to an Event in bulk. This workflow is useful when you need to enroll a larger group more quickly than adding each learner one at a time.
Bulk enrollment lets you load a list of contacts from an Account or a Custom Report, review the list, and then confirm which learners should be added to the Event.

When to use bulk add
Use bulk add when:
- you need to enroll many learners onto the same Event
- the learners already exist as contacts in Administrate
- you want to load learners from an Account or a Custom Report
- you want to review the list before finalizing enrollment
If you only need to add one or two learners, Add students manually is usually faster.
How bulk add works
The bulk add tool loads a set of contacts into a review list before they are added to the Event. This gives you a chance to confirm which contacts should be enrolled and remove any that should not be included.
You can also assign a Communications Contact to the learners during this process if your workflow requires it.
Add students in bulk
- Open the Event.
- Go to the Students tab.
- Click the Add button.
- Select Bulk Students.
- Select Load Bulk List.
- Start typing the name of the Account or Custom Report you want to use.
- Select the Account or Report from the results.
- Review the contacts that are loaded into the list.
- Choose which contacts should be added and which should not.
- If needed, assign a Communications Contact.
- Click OK to add the confirmed contacts to the Event.
What to check before confirming
- Make sure you selected the correct Account or Custom Report.
- Review the contact list carefully before confirming.
- Remove any contacts who should not be enrolled.
- Confirm that any Communications Contact is correct.
This review step matters because bulk add can enroll a large number of learners at once.
After importing learners
After the contacts are added:
- confirm the learners appear in the Event’s Students tab
- review any enrollment-triggered communications
- continue with attendance, results, or achievement workflows as needed

Common issues
- The wrong Account or Report was selected.
- Contacts were loaded but should not all be enrolled.
- The Communications Contact was not set correctly.
- Learners were expected to register through another workflow instead of bulk enrollment.
