What's New?
Custom Business Rules
Administrate already flags common scheduling problems, such as missing instructors, double-booked resources and Events below their target fill rate. Custom Business Rules let you add checks of your own, such as an instructor rest period between shifts, an equipment inspection date or a learner booked on two Events at once.
Each rule sends the Events, Contacts or Resources being checked to a webhook you control, such as an Administrate Automator workflow. Anything your rule finds appears alongside Administrate's own issues on the dashboard, the Event page and the personnel and resource screens.
Rules inform rather than block. In this example, a rule flags an instructor who wouldn't get 8 hours' rest before the Event, but you can still add them.
To create a rule, go to Control Panel and, under System, select Custom Business Rules. You can test a rule before it goes live and check its Logs tab to see every run.
To learn more, including how to build your endpoint and worked examples, see Custom Business Rules.
Bug Fixes
- The Course Template import now only offers languages that are enabled on your instance. Previously, you could import a template with any language, and Events created from it would then fail.
- When you add an Event from a Course Template in the Scheduler, its Sessions now follow the template's day numbers. Previously, each Session was placed on the next available day, so Sessions meant for the same day were spread across several days.
- You can no longer give an individual Account an email address that another Contact already uses as their primary email, unless your instance allows duplicate Contact emails.
- Large reports with clickable rows now load faster.
- Fixed some reports failing to open when they had no sort order, and report drilldowns failing on records that have no page of their own.
- Reports with an empty date filter now tell you which date to fix instead of failing.
- Fixed the Calendar sometimes loading forever or showing duplicate rows.
- Fixed the Event page failing to load when Learner numbers weren't available. It now leaves those numbers blank and hides the fill rate.
- Clearing the template on a Certificate email no longer removes the subject and message you've already written.
- Fixed receipt totals for Training Token purchases.
- Events booked from the Scheduler now take the Region of their Location, so they get the right Course prices.
- Fixed Xero invoice sync failures sometimes being recorded without Xero's error message.
- Fixed an error that stopped some PDF printouts with a footer from being created.
- Fixed course content and results in the learner portal sometimes loading forever when they weren't available.
- Fixed Learning Path registrations failing with an unclear error when a selected Event no longer exists.
- Fixed API searches treating the text "true", "false" and "null" as special values when filtering text fields.
