As you build a schedule, you may see conflicts or warnings (for example: overlaps, missing assignments, or availability issues). Resolve these before creating and booking events.
Common conflict types
- Instructor availability (instructor is already assigned or unavailable)
- Resource conflicts (room or equipment overlap)
- Timing overlaps (sessions or events collide in the schedule)
- Missing requirements (an instructor or resource is not assigned where required)
How to resolve conflicts
- Open your schedule in Training → Scheduler.
- Identify the session or event with the conflict or warning indicator.
- Resolve the issue using one or more of the following:
- Move the time or date to an available slot
- Change the instructor to someone available
- Change the resource (or remove it if not required)
- Split the plan to reduce density in the current date range
- Confirm the conflict indicator is cleared (or reduced to an acceptable warning).
Best practices
- Resolve before publishing. Fix conflicts while you’re still drafting.
- Prefer reassignment over shifting. Swapping instructors or resources is usually faster than moving an entire plan.
- Document acceptable warnings. If a warning is acceptable for your process, note why before booking.
Tips and common gotchas
- Availability data matters. If availability isn’t maintained, conflicts may be incomplete or misleading.
- Don’t book “to test.” Fix issues in Scheduler first; booking should be the final step.
