This Control Panel page is used to configure the layout of Bookings. To configure how Bookings progress through your process, see Bookings Workflow.
The Bookings system contains records of potential sales or bookings. Bookings Layout lets you control which fields are shown on Booking records and where they appear.

Bookings Layout correlates to layout of records in the Bookings system
Bookings Layout is organised into Sections and Attributes. Attributes are grouped within Sections. To move a Section or Attribute, drag and drop it to the desired location.
Drag and drop Sections and Attributes to move them.
The icon buttons are used for editing and deleting:
The minus icon deletes; the pencil icon edits.
Standard Sections
Standard Sections are included on every Booking record and cannot be removed. You can reorder them using drag and drop.
- Workflow — Flow chart of your Steps and Transitions.
- Details — Basic information about the Booking (for example, name, company, account, and region).
- Interests — Courses or Events the Booking is interested in, used to gauge potential value.
- Tasks — Tasks associated with progressing the Booking.
- Quotations — Quotations generated from the Booking’s Interests.
- Documents — Documents created for the Booking.
- Timeline — Communication history for the Booking since it was created.
Add Section
Sections are headings on a Booking record (for example, Workflow, Details, and Interests). You can add custom Sections to group fields in a way that matches your process.
To add a new Section:
- Click
at the bottom of the page.
- Name the Section as you want it to appear on Booking records.
- Click
.
- Drag and drop the new Section to the position you want.
- Click
to save the layout.
Add Section button is at the bottom of the page
Add Attributes
After you create a Section, you can add Attributes. Attributes are fields used to capture information on Bookings and are displayed under Sections.
In the example below, the Section Personal Details contains the Attributes First Name, Last Name, Email, and Phone Number. Attributes can be shown at specific Steps in your Bookings Workflow.

Note
If an Attribute does not appear on a Booking record, ensure it has been enabled for the relevant Step(s) in Bookings Workflow. Newly created Attributes do not appear on any Step by default. If you want an Attribute to appear on all Steps, you must enable it for each Step individually.
To add an Attribute:
- Click
in the Section where you want the Attribute, or in the Attributes panel on the right.
- Name the Attribute as you want it to appear on Bookings.
- Select the Attribute Type.
- Click
.
- [Optional] Drag and drop the Attribute to the position you want within the Section.
- Click
to save the layout.
Creating the Attribute directly in the appropriate Section can save an extra step, since Attributes can otherwise be moved later by drag and drop.
The Attribute Type determines what kind of data the field stores:
Choose a Type that matches the data you want to capture. For example, an Attribute named Telephone Number should typically use the Number type.
Mapped
A Mapped Attribute links information already stored on an Account or Contact. This allows Booking records to display CRM data dynamically. If the underlying Account or Contact data changes, the Booking record updates automatically, which saves time and avoids re-entering the same information.
How Mapped Attributes work in the Bookings system
Two fields are required:
- Mapped Entity (Account or Contact)
- Mapped Attribute (the field to display)
Think of Mapped Entity as where the information comes from (Account or Contact) and Mapped Attribute as the specific field you want to display.
Account Custom and Contact Custom refer to Custom Fields shown at the bottom of Account and Contact records.
Boolean
A Boolean Attribute stores a Yes/No value. On a Booking record, it appears as a Yes or No selection.

Choice
A Choice Attribute displays a list of predefined options where only one option can be selected. For multiple selections, use Multichoice.
Choice Attribute allows one selection from a list.
Date
A Date Attribute lets users select a date from a calendar. To capture both date and time, use Date Time.

Date Time
Date Time stores both a date and a time. If you only need time, use Time.
The Date Time Attribute allows selection of both date and time.
An Email Attribute stores an email address and validates that it contains text before and after the @ symbol.

Multichoice
A Multichoice Attribute allows users to select multiple options from a list.
Multichoice Attributes and how they appear on the Bookings system
Users can select multiple options by holding CTRL (Windows) or CMD (Mac) while selecting.
Number
A Number Attribute only accepts numeric values. If a non-numeric value is entered, the system will warn you and prevent the record from being saved until a valid number is provided.

String
A String Attribute is a single-line text field that accepts alphanumeric input. For longer inputs, use Text Area.
Text Area
A Text Area Attribute is a multi-line text field (shown as three lines tall). If the input exceeds the visible area, a vertical scrollbar appears. For single-line input, use String.

Website
A Website Attribute stores a URL as free text and does not validate that the address is a valid website. If a website is already stored on a Contact record, you can display it on Bookings using a Mapped Attribute.
Note
This field behaves like a standard String field and does not verify that the value is a valid website address.
Remove Attribute
At the moment there is no option to permanently delete an Attribute.
To remove an Attribute from a Section, drag it to the Attributes box in the top right. Once an Attribute is moved into this box, it is inactive, even if it is selected in a Step or Transition.
