Lead Dead Reasons
In the Message Centre, when you process a message or mark a lead enquiry as dead, you can select a reason from a drop-down list.
Lead Dead Reasons lets you define those reasons so they match your organisation’s process and reporting needs. Standardizing these reasons helps ensure consistent lead handling and improves reporting on why opportunities are not converted.
You can manage Lead Dead Reasons in the Control Panel.
Marking a lead as dead in the Message Centre
Selecting a Lead Dead Reason when marking a message as dead
Create a Lead Dead Reason
- Click + Add to open the dialog.
- Enter a name for the Lead Dead Reason.
- Click Save.
The new Lead Dead Reason is added to the list and becomes available for selection when marking a lead as dead.
Edit a Lead Dead Reason
- Select the Lead Dead Reason in the table to open the dialog.
- Update the name.
- Click Save.
The updated name appears in the list and in the selection drop-down.
Delete a Lead Dead Reason
- Select the Lead Dead Reason in the table to open the dialog.
- Click Delete to open the confirmation dialog.
- Click OK to confirm (or Cancel to keep it).
The Lead Dead Reason is removed from the list.
