Accessing the Control Panel
Caution
Only Super Users can access the Control Panel and its settings because of the impact they may have on your system and on sensitive data. Please check your User’s Special Roles regarding access.
The Control Panel houses all the settings and configuration options for your Administrate application. These settings and configuration options can impact your business processes. For example, a Super User can use the Control Panel to:
- Edit Communication Triggers to send emails to your entire students or CRM
- Change details of API connections, causing potential disruption to an API integrated website.
- Change the monetary account in which online payments are received.
Therefore, you should only grant Super User access to the most trusted Users. As a rule of thumb, you should never grant Super User access to a User unless you have conferred permission from an existing Super User.
To access the Control Panel, click on the settings cog in the top right section.

Settings Cog
For subscribers of Administrate before 2015, this cog replaces the Settings menu.

Hint
You can quickly find what you need by typing in any part of the setting you need in the search box in the upper right corner of the page. e.g. to bring up all email related settings, just start typing ‘email’ in the search box, and it will bring up all settings containing the word ‘email’.

You can quickly search for what you need upon loading the Control Panel
Communications
The Communication Triggers is split up into: Sending Addresses, Templates, and Triggers
