User permissions - separate Finalise Invoice from Edit Invoice

Often when creating an invoice, we need to add Adhoc items to that invoice, so technically editing it after creation.
However, we only want certain authorised personnel to be able to Finalise an invoice to lock it down and import it into our financial system.
In ADM, these permissions are currently linked, which means anyone can (and do) accidentally Finalise an invoice before it's ready.
I would love enhanced permissions to be able to separate these functions out and grant them to specific User roles.

Thanks for sharing your feedback. This is something we’ve heard from a few users, and I completely understand the need to have more control over who can finalize invoices.
We’ve now added this to our roadmap, and we’re actively working on enhancing the permissions to separate out those functions. We expect this update to be released before the end of the year, so stay tuned! In the meantime, if you have any other thoughts or ideas, feel free to let us know. -
I had a request in for this already, but recently found it seems to be worse than that - I have users with only view invoices permission who can not edit an invoice but can finalise it.
I added this to a support ticket, but since I see you've brought it up here anyway you may want to check what your users can do.

We definitely need a permission for finalising invoices - it's very high risk.1 -
They have apparently fixed this problem now, however the financial side and the user roles both seem to be in need of fairly basic attention. Accounting and security just aren't as cool as AI schedulers apparently...
