The Achievements tab is where administrators review and manage learner achievement outcomes for a specific Event.
This tab connects Event participation to formal completion outcomes such as pass/fail status, certifications, competency awards, and achievement issuance.
While achievement rules are often configured on the Course Template, the Event Achievements tab is where those rules are operationally applied, reviewed, and managed for the learners attending a specific delivery.
What the Achievements tab controls
- learner pass/fail outcomes
- achievement issuance for Event participants
- attendance-based completion logic
- manual or automated achievement awarding
- certificate management workflows
- review of learner achievement status
How achievements work at the Event level
Achievements are usually configured on the Course Template and inherited into Events during Event creation.
The Event Achievements tab allows administrators to:
- review which achievements apply to the Event
- monitor learner achievement status
- manually set pass/fail outcomes where needed
- manage certificates and issued achievement records
- override or supplement achievement behavior for a specific delivery
Changes made here apply only to the current Event unless the underlying Course Template achievement configuration is also updated.
Note
Achievement logic may depend on attendance, scoring, completion tracking, invoice payment status, or other operational conditions configured on the Course Template or Event.
Passing rules and completion behavior
The Passing Rules Details section controls how learners qualify for achievements on the Event.
Depending on configuration, Administrate can:
- automatically pass learners when attendance requirements are met
- allow a configured number of session absences
- award achievements only after invoices are paid
- set achievement validity dates based on issue timing
These rules help organizations standardize certification and completion behavior across Events while still allowing Event-specific operational control.
Managing achievements on an Event
The Achievements section shows which achievement types are associated with the Event.
Administrators can:
- review active and inactive achievement records
- filter achievements by learner or account
- add Event-level achievements where permitted
- review which learners have received achievements
A single Event may issue multiple achievements depending on course structure, assessments, or delivery requirements.
Managing results and pass/fail status
The Results section is used to review and manage learner outcome status for the Event.
Depending on configuration, results may be:
- set automatically through attendance or scoring logic
- manually updated by administrators or instructors
- reviewed before certificates are issued
Manual pass/fail workflows are commonly used when:
- an instructor must review assessment performance
- attendance requires manual confirmation
- results need correction after delivery
- certification approval requires administrator review
Caution
Updating learner results can affect certificates, learner records, communications, Learning Path progress, and achievement validity. Review achievement outcomes carefully before finalizing results.
Managing certificates
If certificates are configured for the achievement type, administrators can use the Manage Certificates option to review or regenerate learner certificates associated with the Event.
Certificates are generated from achievement records. The achievement itself remains the authoritative system outcome.
For more detail on certificates, sequences, achievement validity, and learner achievement management, see: Achievements.
Relationship to other Event tabs
- Students manages participation, attendance, and learner enrollment
- Achievements manages formal learner outcomes and certifications
- Communications may send achievement-related notifications
- Audit records achievement-related operational changes
Achievement outcomes often depend on attendance and participation data recorded elsewhere on the Event.
Typical achievement workflow
- Create the Event from a Course Template.
- Confirm achievement rules and passing behavior.
- Manage learner attendance and participation.
- Review learner results after delivery.
- Issue or confirm learner achievements.
- Review generated certificates where applicable.
Best practices
- Use Course Template achievements for repeatable certification workflows.
- Review attendance accuracy before finalizing learner outcomes.
- Confirm invoice and payment rules before issuing achievements automatically.
- Validate certificates and achievement triggers before large-scale delivery.
- Use Event-level achievement overrides carefully to avoid inconsistent reporting.
