The Training Dashboard provides a central place to monitor the health of your training operation. It surfaces key information about upcoming delivery, event readiness, instructor and resource issues, and tasks, so you can spot problems early and make informed decisions (for example, whether an event should proceed or be cancelled).
Overview
The dashboard exposes and enhances existing information to help you identify issues such as instructor or resource conflicts, event readiness problems, and low fill rates. By bringing these signals together, you can reduce manual checks, stay ahead of delivery risks, and make more informed decisions about whether events should proceed or be cancelled.
Dashboard Settings
The Dashboard includes a ⚙ Settings panel, accessible from the header, where you can personalise your experience. From the Settings panel you can:
- Choose which Widgets to show or hide on your Dashboard.
- Select a time period to control how far ahead Widgets look.
- Filter which Issue categories appear on the Upcoming Events Widget, so you can focus on the issues that matter most to you.
Your preferences are saved automatically and persist across sessions.
What’s included in the dashboard
Upcoming Events widget
The Upcoming Events widget shows events (all learning modes), including Active and Draft, that start in the next 30 days. It also surfaces common issues that would otherwise be buried across tabs and modals.
- Filter to only events you’re assigned to (as an instructor or administrator).
- Filter to only events that currently have issues.
- Cancelled events are not included.
- Click an event to open it.
- The list is scrollable to view all matching events.
- You can also control which Issue categories appear in this Widget via the Dashboard Settings panel.
Issue types monitored in the widget
- The event or session is missing an instructor (except Self-Paced).
- The instructor on an event has conflicts (except Self-Paced).
- The event or session has resource requirements that are not met.
- The fill rate is below the target fill rate you have configured (registered learners ÷ max places). This issue will not show if max places have not been defined. The default target fill rate is 50%.
The widget highlights new issues since your last view, so you can quickly spot what changed and address problems before delivery.
Instructor Conflict widget
The Instructor Conflict widget alerts you to instructor conflicts for events occurring in the next 30 days and provides tools to resolve them.
- Left pane: a list of instructors with conflicts.
- Right pane: sessions with conflicts for the selected instructor.
- Use the expand arrow to view details for the conflicting session.
- Resolve a conflict by either:
- Accepting the system suggestion (first available instructor with a matching workplace for the event location).
- Opening the Replace Instructor modal to select a replacement manually.
- When replacing, you’ll see a confirmation step and can optionally send a system notification email to the removed instructor.
- The Instructor Removed email template is managed on your communication templates page.
- After confirmation, the conflict is removed from the list.
My Tasks widget
The My Tasks widget shows a short list of tasks assigned to you.
- Ordered by due date (closest first). Overdue items appear first.
- Shows the task title, the related entity (for example, an event), due date, and status.
- Shows tasks that are overdue, in progress, or not started.
- Links to the task on the entity it is assigned to.
- Links to your full task list.
Announcements
The Announcements widget allows admins to set a company-wide message. This is typically best used for frequently accessed team reports, documents, and links to external tools.
FAQ
-
Is the dashboard customizable?
- Yes currently. Click the Settings button in the Dashboard header to open the Settings panel. From there you can choose which Widgets to display, set a time period, and filter Issue categories on the Upcoming Events Widget. Your preferences are saved automatically.
-
Is there a way to filter the dashboard widgets?
- Some widgets include filtering (for example, limiting Upcoming Events to events assigned to you). Additional filtering may be considered based on user feedback.
-
The number of “New Issues” says 5 but only 2 events are highlighted.
