Sending comms from a contact/delegate report
We frequently generate reports for contacts/delegates to facilitate email communication.
For instance, when a train strike means that our building will be closed on a specific date, we will run a delegate report to see who is due to attend on the dates affected, and then we will send an email from Outlook, copying/pasting the email addresses from the report.
This is because clicking into each event on the affected dates and selecting a communication template is very time consuming vs pulling data from a single report and sending a single BC email from Outlook.
It would be great if communications could be sent to all contacts/delegates from a report result, so as to maintain the audit trail.
I would imagine that the email history would be then added to each individual contact's screen.

Hey Matt, thanks for getting in touch.
Is there a reason you don't just email all the students directly from the event using the ad-hoc email function?
If you are unfamiliar with it, we have a Tip and Trick in Administrate University on it.
Let us know.

Hey Gilles!
Purely because of the sheer amount of events we may have running on a given date, or across a date range.
We'd run an event report first of all to identify all the relevant events, then click through to each event, click the email icon, search for a comms template to send, then finally send the email.
We're finding it quicker to use a ready-made delegate report, identifying all delegates for a specific date, then send a single email from Outlook.0 -
I like this idea as well. It might be helpful to some of our Global Training centers. Being able to send an email to several students of many events all at once would be a time saver.
