Retro-actively add a Sales Opportunity to a registration

To tidy-up data, it would be useful to be able to add an existing registration/invoice to a Sales Opportunity which was created separately. 

We occasionally have manual registrations created in error, where it should have been created through a pending sales opportunity. 

This would help us with a lot of current data issues!
