Product Updates
Coming Monday 14 September: Multi-language Course Templates
One Course Template can now hold its title, descriptions and custom field values in several languages, so you no longer need a separate copy of a course per language, and no risk of those copies drifting apart.
- Mark a course as deliverable in a set of languages, and create Events in whichever of those languages you are running.
- Anything you leave blank in a translation falls back to the original language, field by field, so a partly translated course is still usable.
- Learners choose their language in the LMS and the WebLink storefront, and see course content in the language they pick.
- Emails about an Event, the course text merged into them and the documents attached to them all follow the Event's delivery language.
- The Content and Communications tabs flag every delivery language a document or communication template has no content for, so gaps are visible before learners find them.
The full walkthrough is in Multi-language courses and Learning Paths.
Coming Monday 14 September: One Upcoming Events widget on your Dashboard
The Upcoming Events widget and the Instructor Conflict widget become a single widget on the Training Dashboard. Instructor conflicts now appear on the events they belong to, rather than in a separate list you had to cross-reference by hand.
- One place to look. Every issue for an upcoming event, instructor conflicts included, sits on that event's row.
- Less cross-referencing. You no longer match an instructor in one widget against an event in another to work out what is affected.
- Resolve conflicts where you find them. The suggestion and reassignment tools you used in the Instructor Conflict widget come with it.
- More room on your Dashboard, with one widget doing the work of two.
- Your existing filters still apply: limit the list to events you are assigned to, to events with issues, or to the issue categories you care about.
Nothing is lost in the merge, and no set-up is needed. If you had both widgets switched on, the Dashboard Settings panel now shows the one.
Other Updates
- Calendar (Alpha) now shows External Calendar bookings at the correct times and lets you show or hide absence reasons and details on cell blocks.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed the Record Results page checking Delegate Scores instead of Delegate Attendance permission, and hid the option in the Students tab from users who cannot use it.
- Fixed webhook notification email addresses doubling when a webhook was saved while another update was in flight, with existing duplicates cleaned up on the next save.
- Fixed Course PDF downloads failing when the logo was empty, unreadable or in an unsupported format; the PDF now renders without it.
- Fixed Learning Path Objective completion not being shared, so an Objective completed in one path now counts as complete in every path that includes it.
- Fixed reading or writing custom field dependencies on a Course Template failing when the template carried soft label course text fields.
- Fixed Docebo failed-to-sync log messages being cut off at 255 characters by shortening the entity name where necessary.
