Product Updates
Coming Monday 31 August: Calendar (Open Alpha)
We're excited to share that Calendar is coming to your platform from Monday, 31 August, and you're invited to try it.
What is it?
Calendar is a new feature we're opening up as an open alpha. That means it's early and still evolving, and we're inviting you to be part of shaping it. You'll get to try it out, use it in your day-to-day, and tell us what works, what doesn't, and what you'd love to see next.
What "open alpha" means
- It's available to try, but it's still early. Expect it to grow and improve over time.
- When you open Calendar, you'll see a note letting you know it's experimental. That's on purpose, so you always know where things stand.
- Your feedback genuinely shapes where this goes. This is the best time to get involved.
How to get access
Access is managed through permissions, so your admin can enable Calendar for the right people once it's live on the 31st. Look for the Calendar - View and Calendar - Edit permissions.
Want to know more?
We've put together documentation to walk you through it: Calendar (alpha).
We'd love for you to jump in and let us know what you think.
Other Updates
- You can now set a display order for custom fields from the custom fields page or via GraphQL, with position available as an API ordering field.
- Added a read-only courseAvailability GraphQL query that returns single-Event placement options with capacity, qualified Personnel, Resources, alternatives and blockers, honouring optional date, Location, capacity and preferred start day constraints.
- Resource type management now has a new page for listing, creating, editing and deleting resource types, including ordered single-line and multi-line custom fields, replacing the legacy Resource Types screen.
- Reports rooted at Delegate can now include the originating Booking Interest line item's price level, plus the new Booking Interest Learners relation.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed transferring an uninvoiced Learner creating a new booking, so the same Registration is kept when the details align and no invoice exists yet.
- Fixed the Connect with Google and Connect with Microsoft buttons on the calendar setup page leading to a 404 for instances served under the combined integrations app.
- Fixed learnerStats queries timing out on large data sets, cutting response times from minutes to seconds while returning identical results.
