Course template - make a 'copy'
Planned
We would really like a facility that would allow us to make a 'copy' of an existing course template - using a different Event Code for the new copy and then make any changes required.
We run a series of seminars that is hugely time consuming to set up. The series includes twelve 1-hour seminars, each of which is held on a separate date, but at 3 different times on that date.
In order for these to be individually bookable on our website we need an individual template for each seminar x 3 (36 templates) plus 3 compound templates with the child courses linked. Once the templates are set up each of the 36 seminars then needs to be scheduled.
We now plan to run the exact same series, in the exact same format, with the exact same course titles, instructors and content, but in a different jurisdiction. This needs to be clearly separated on our website for booking purposes.
Wouldn't it be great if we could use the templates already created for the original series, making minor changes to the Course Code and course title and then saving this as a new template?
But we can't.
So, I'm about to spend a half day creating 36 templates and scheduling 36 seminars....
Would this be useful to anybody else?

Hi Gemma, thanks for the feedback. You'll be pleased to hear that this is in the pipeline.
We're currently working on improved usability of the Course Templates List screen and Course Template Edit screens, as well as the Course Template copying functionality you mention, and a Smart Scheduling feature which allows you to add multiple Sessions at once based on the criteria you specify in the Course Template.
This will be released in January, but should be implemented in December. Would you be keen to try it out before release?
Many thanks,
Heather
