    hi Peter,  if your duplicate accounts share the same email address you should be able to merge them?

    I would echo Peter's suggestion. It would help to have utilities that could assist with optimizing account and contact information.

    My Main issue is that you cannot do it on the invoices due to the finalise tool which is helpful in issues with invoice but not when needing to merge

    We also need this as we have duplicate accounts where we cannot merge after invoices have been finalised.

    +1 for this development, but only if it works properly and the merging tool doesn't wipe out various field's data as with the current contact merging tool.

    Would also like this, but to merge individuals properly rather than having to merge the contact then move registrations and any other info in the account section manually.

    This is a MUST tool that needs to be available in Administrate. After importing all Accounts and contacts from another software, there is always cleanup.

    Please consider this function as we are fairly new to the system and already have duplicates, despite being careful on verification and this is starting to cause issues in reporting or contacts going under one but not the other, making the issues worse.

    We really need this function, we have so many duplicated accounts at the moment, especially as our customers can book online and input their information ever so slightly different so the system doesnt pick up on it. It can be as simple as ABC Construction Ltd vs ABC Construction Limited and now as the invoices finalise, we are stuck with two accounts. Its causing problems with the integrity of the database.

    Absolutely we have had duplicates come in and then it has interfered with the integrations we have running through administrate! or even if we could have an archive option that removes it from active use would be amazing.

    I agree - this is essential. We have individuals that we merge when they are set up as duplicates, but the account piece is not merging and we end up with an individual account with no contact + an individual account with a contact. We need to be able to merge both components of the individual records.

    Absolutely Essential, this needs to be actioned. i love merging individuals but we are in an industry were accounts merge all the time and i need to have the option to either make them inactive or merge them.

    Really important that this gets actioned ASAP, causing so many issues in the office with incorrect invoicing - as others have said before we really need to be able to merge in order to keep reports, registrations and the database as concise as possible.

    Thanks for the continued feedback, keep it coming!  The activity on this idea has brought this into our planning activities for the beginning of the year, we'll post more when we have more information.

    We also are looking to merge accounts with the need to keep all events and contacts associated with that account! Would be a great tool to have!

    We need this too. If people book online, they add their account name slightly differently and then we have a duplicate. Any news on this?

    Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback on this.  While we have not yet been able to create a user-facing tool to help with merging accounts, we did recently release new a API call to make merging accounts easier for anyone who is comfortable with a little bit of programming.  You can see the call in the developer portal here:

    The mutation is called "merge".  Feel free to try it out yourself or reach out to support if you'd like come guidance on how to do this programatically.  

    This post will remain open until a user tool is released, but this may be an option for some help in the shorter term.
