    Totally agree!

This would become especially inefficient for events with 15+ days.

This is an impartial element i believe to the new events system. Just like we have a bulk adder for students, we need it for resources in addition to sessions as well for now we have to add one by one each session and resource for events that are prolonged over a period of time.

We use this for automated booking of a lab, which is now 1 click to add 12 Resources. Very handy and it assigns directly the next available resources !

We are satisfied with the current system which allow us to book several labs with 1 click. it would be inefficient 1 by 1. We absolutely agree with you.

Thanks for the comments everyone.  We're looking at using the same design for adding multiple resources that was used in the release Monday for adding multiple documents from the LMS.  I'm marking this as planned.

Thanks Troy - is there any documentation for using the multiple documents adder, other than the paragraph in the release notes? I can't work it our from the release notes and would like to have a look to see how it'll work with resources.

Tom, I don't believe that change has it's anything specific in the support documentation.   However, in the new event system, on the outline tab, there is an "Add" button above the Documents section.  If you choose that and select "Existing from DMS", you'll be presented with the screen in the release notes.

For documents, the left side allows you to navigate the folder structure of the Document Management System.  When you double click on any  document that you want to add, it appears on the right half of the screen, and allows to to build a list of all of the documents to be added.  When you're ready, you click "OK" to add them all at once to the event.

For resources, this will look very much the same, with the primary difference being that only available resources will appear in the window, to avoid double booking.

Cheers, that looks like it should work fine for multiple resource bookings - can I suggest that you make it possible to double click the resource type to add all resources of that type (that are available to book) as well as double clicking on the individual resources of a particular type.

That's great, thank you. Lots of our resources are missing from the list (have submitted support ticket) so can't test this in anger atm but  the ordering of the resources that are showing appears pretty random, would be good if these were ordered alphabetically by resource type, then by resource # and organised into folders for each resource type to make them easier to find (the search bar will help but it's quicker to scroll through a list than continually typing and retyping for different resource types).

Also thank you for shifting the whole event/sessions only option to the start of the process.

Just realised there is a drop down to select the resource type which I had missed before and you can select them all with the button on the top right - thank you! please ignore comment above as I had missed the thing I needed to see :)

    Some feedback from our users

Overall very positive reaction when I showed everyone how to use it - "fantastic" in the words of the one staff member who has used it and come back to me with actual feedback.

two things that would be nice:
    1) have a box where we can put a number in and a button so we can book that specific number of resources from a resource type. This is for accuracy more than speed.

    2) When no resource type is selected we see a list of some resources, apparently random. This is what confused me initially. Would prefer this to either display nothing at all until a resource type is selected, or to display all available resources instead of a select few.
