Global Editing/Updating
As an Administrator, I'd like to be able to make global changes in Administrate so I don't need to do everything on an individual basis, in order to save time.
We often need to do global changes, here are some example use cases:
- Where data has been entered in the incorrect format eg. Now that there are SMS triggers, we need to update all our mobile numbers in the Contacts to be in a specific international format, when we've been recorded them according to our country's local format - it's the same edit for every Contact, but they must be done individually
- Where a CORE User leaves the company, their tasks, projects, opportunities and accounts, etc. need to be assigned to another CORE User (so that historical data may be preserved): currently you have to first find all the CRM/Tasks/Opportunities records this applies to, and then individually change them
- Mass keying/import resulting in inconsistent CRM details: certain fields will display ALL CAPS or all lower case, which appear inconsistent to the rest of our CRM records (first letter caps) - also related to #1 above

As an Administrator, I'd like to be able to bulk update Accounts - similar to how Administrate allows us too bulk update contacts into the system to certain accounts. Right now, my team and I have to update accounts on an individual basis which is very time consuming.
Alternatively, it would be even better to bulk update multiple accounts at one time.
Thanks,
Mark

I also need to update/edit a couple fields in a large number of current accounts/contacts (within CRM), and had hoped that the 'Import Tool' under the Control Panel may help to easily complete such a mundane task - unfortunately not.
With the process of matching Account ID/Name when importing contacts, the bulk of code appears to already exist and thus minimal effort required to create a new workflow that could bring huge value potentially. For example, we have started to deeply annotate and characterize our clients from some of in-house analyses.
Please consider.

I have recently have an employee leave with around 100 tasks on their task list. It is ridiculous having to go through each one, reassigning. This needs to be a global, bulk action once someone is marked as suspended or left company.
If you suspend, you cannot access the task list unless you find each account - this is painstaking and needs upgrading.
I simply want to be able to (when an employee leaves) click a button to reassigns their outstanding tasks to another employee. I also believe this should be a very simple thing to do, having come from a background of web development.

Hi Lindsey,
Yes it is hideous - I am currently reassigning each as I come across them - or by temporarily authorising the ex employees account so I can see the list - which isn't ideal.
I have this in place for now, but would be ideal if I can transfer all existing tasks to another account.

We definitely need a bulk delete option in the Message Center. At present it is too time consuming for users to go in and delete each message one by one. All email applications allow bulk delete, so I don't understand why Administrate have not implemented this change to actually provide users with a dynamic and efficient system. I hope that ADM add this to the dev plan and release this change in upcoming iterations. I would be happy to come on as a user tester of this functionality as we have 10,000+ emails that we want to delete from the Message Center. Thank you
