Flat rate promo codes (eg £100 off) - please vote for this one :)

I'd like to add flat rate promo codes to the list.

Right now you can only provide a percentage discount - eg 10% off or 20% off.

If you want to provide a special rate (eg new course £500 - reduced by £200 - then you can't add '-£200' to the promo code list.

If you try and determine the percentage off to get to, say, £200 off - then it's not possible to calculate accurately (to the penny) since the percentage rate calculation is only set to one decimal place (and my calculations led to three decimal places before the price was correct to the penny).

I'd really appreciate this request being actioned so would love your votes 'me please'.

  We would also like to see promo codes that are restricted to certain events, as well as 'single use' promo codes.

  You can set up discounts for specific amounts via course pricing. You set the "Normal" price to £500, and create a "£200 off" price at £300, which you can just select at registration.

  Hi Marcus - that works if you're taking the booking in an office, however not if you want to supply people with codes to book via the WebLink.

  Thanks Jimbo.  You said what I was thinking!  I think that Administrate are working on this one - or, at least, have it on their product backlog.  We're just using % discount codes for the moment.  Always a bit messier!  Just putting together an Easter offer now and would have liked it to be a round number - but it'll have to be a percentage.  Would be good if those who have commented here can also add their +1 :)

  Haha - I'm impressed that anyone actually manages to use weblink! I gave up at the point I realised I would have to write something like: "The price of £108.33 that you see listed here is the net price and does not include the course workbooks, the online question bank or the mock exams, the actual price you will pay is £795.00" - on every selection.

  we had an interesting time working out our percentage discounts from our fee rates! Going forwards this would be much easier!

  We have used the specific money off promo code a couple of times, but usually with problems.  For example, if the code offers £100 off, but the client books two places, they only get one lot of £100 off.   It's good that it's there, but it needs work!

  I've now used the flat rate discount option a couple of times, but there still appear to be bugs.  i.e. that discount not being applied to each course booked.

  We now have support for Fixed Rate Promo Codes along with Percentage based discounts based on Delegates booked.
