Requesting the ability to 'duplicate' a new contact

This would allow us to just add a new name, but not have to go through and tick 'Marketing source' or other fields which remain the same for all new contacts being entered for a course. Would this be possible, please?
We would want to duplicate or clone the entire contact , with any/all information stored at the contact details level. We would then overwrite name and email address as necessary.
So, rather than ask for specific fields, this would work best as it leaves open when entering data it makes an easy choice of whether it is quicker to clone or to enter a new contact (which does autofill from the account, as you said). Would that be possible?
We would use it when entering all the delegates for a course and save time.
