Extended Features for Trainer Management and Profile page
As of now the Training Profile page is very static in terms of using this information for cross referencing or using this information to set a trigger etc. We feel this could be enhanced by giving the Trainer Profile page a face-lift, for example in terms of Topic spcialization we could reference the course categories and courses as selection instead of static string field.
We also maintain Trainer Qualification and expirations, but we noticed there is no way we can setup a trigger to inform operations team about the Qualifications getting expired for Trainer.
We believe Trainer Management is and will be one of the major component in a TMS, specially given the situation of different types of contracting in training business (i.e. based on Lumsum, # of Students, staggered pricing, distance calculations etc.), this might be the chance to address the demands for customers who are looking at instead a external solution.
Trainer is a passive role as of now in Administrate and we are proposing to make a concept for extending the features (roadmap) for Trainer management where Trainer has a active role overall.
