Fully agree on this product idea. Difference is clear. For us, a cancelled event can represent a student no-show whereas deletion represents the removal of an event from the system added in error or for testing purposes.

Dropping on comment on this one to try to get it back into the picture. Pretty sure anyone is still keen on this to be implemented.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, there are a few delete/archive cases we'd like to account for, I'm gathering them up for us to review, this looks to be one of the highest requested.

We also agree to have the option to delete an event that is created in error.  Cancelled works for events that are truly cancelled.  Delete is required for the errors so as not to mixed up with those truly cancelled.  thank you.

This is definitely something that is required, otherwise we will find our reporting is skewed.

Agree that we must have this feature - not not have it is bizarre. I can delete events from Outlook calendar, Google calendar etc but not Administrate. Regards, Paul

We need a delete button too. I agree with everyone above.

Deleting is absolutely necessary to keep things tidy. I cannot delete and modify regions and locations because I am unable to delete events.

If it is to avoid accidents, there could be several prompts to make sure that the deleting is not accidental.

I completely agree!  We need a delete button, and I agree that having a double-check prompt "are you sure" is good to prevent accidental errors.  The only way to make this system work at it's best is to allow everyone, regardless of their tech savvy, to participate.  which means errors will happen, and someone needs to be able to clean them up.

I agree with the above.  Errors should be able to be removed and have a double-check prompt to make sure it's OK to delete.

I've previously requested this feature and I also agree its needed.

I understand there are potential issues that could cause deleting to break the system but I believe its worth the time to get those ironed.

Yes I couldn't agree more! I hate having a system where events have been added in error and are still present on the system - it's confusing and makes no sense to me having them on there. As your customers are pointing out above, have the option to delete 'errors' and an option to 'cancel' events for those which were due to be 'live' but are no longer and we need those present on the system for reference.

Yes, this would be really useful - I occasionally add an event twice

I would definitely like this ability back: it's just tidier.

Yikes.  We are just getting started - and this would be viewed as a basic required functionality.

Absolutely. I'm getting a few instances where upon attempting to create a course, I receive an error (server failed to process) which indicates that the course hasn't been created, leading to duplicates. That we can't then delete a duplicate course, created because of an ADM error, is annoying to say the least.

Any response or update from ADM on this issue?

None as yet but it's still a high priority request as far as I'm concerned.

I occasionally get a 'the server has failed to process your request' error message when creating events, indicating that an event hasn't been created when it actually has. This leads to us occasionally creating duplicates which just clog-up the system.

Yes, i get this error message quite regularly too. Its very frustrating.

Deleting bookings created in error is essential. Our system is getting clogged up with errors, which must slow the whole system down - I am worried what it will be like in 2 years time!

Is there any update on getting a delete function for events set up in error?

    Still nothing, unfortunately.

I'd like to add to this, deleting sessions from an event. Individuals from my company have fallen foul of, when editing the final session of an event, clicking 'save and next', which then adds an extra date to the event.

The only way to get rid of it, is to make the session active, so you can then cancel it. Again, it's messy.

Given that we are able to delete everything from contacts/accounts, invoices etc, it seems really silly that we can't delete events or sessions within an event.
