Thanks a lot for your feedback, Sim! This is really great for helping us decide what to implement. You'll be happy to hear that number 3 is one which we are working on at the moment.

I'm on holiday at the moment, but when I'm back I'll send you more details about what we're implementing so you can let us know what you think!

    All the best,

    Heather

See here for my thoughts: https://support.getadministrate.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115006979267-Improvements-for-New-System-

also split the student name column, to be first name and last name separately so we can pick which to sort by

have a filter box on students like : https://imgur.com/a/xqhvX

that auto filters the list depending on how much you type (if you must reload the list have a button to click to execute the filter)

    eg: ste finds:

    steve

    steven

    stephen

    steph

    stephanie

    but typing: stev would find

    steve

    steven

on the edit student popout the option for setting result: pass or fail

have that selection be reflected in the reports system.

But most of all please improve the speed, and remove the loading page lock overlay

Yes, my company is planning to use the LMS but we not focusing on delivering eLearning via the LMS, rather we would like to make use of the LMS as Student Portal.

I hope we can use the LMS for below purpose:

    1. Can display student specific information. Such as showing certificate generated using the Tool in Administrate in LMS. Show some of the field in Score Template in LMS. Currently LMS showing the entire Score Template but in fact some information is for internal reference and is meaningless to students, hence should exclude these type of fields in LMS.

Suggest to attach more than 1 score template for each event. So we can have internal and external score template-storing different information. Then we can choose which score template to be display in LMS.

Another suggestion is when creating field in score template, we can have option whether to show this particular field in LMS.

    2. To integrate Survey Monkey with LMS. I am using SurveyMonkey for studnet feedback. The best is student can login to LMS to look for the hyperlink to bring them to SurveyMonkey form to finish the feedback.

    3. Student can login to LMS to submit/upload assignments or documents to LMS. Then this document only available to him.

    4. If no.3 above cannot be done, then at least admin staff can upload documents and link it to particular students. When this students login to LMS will be able to access his documents. So students can have records of documents with my organization.

My point of view is that other than eLearning delivery, i can't see much value of the LMS to students. I think Administrate should think from the perspective of "Student Portal". As a student how the LMS can help me more to reduce the communication with the training provider, as a student i hope i can have a self help portal from my training provider.

    Thanks,

    SIM

I'm very interested in seeing the Administrate LMS develop. We are currently using a different LMS for our elearning and we would like to migrate to Administrate for all of our use cases in the future. One feature I've seen missing across LMS providers is support for a continuing education model. Most LMS are centered around the idea of a certificate that you must earn and re-earn through a single specific course. We are interested in tracking an individual's knowledge/skill that may be earned through a variety of courses or activities and "ages" over time.

A great example of this is how Duolingo.com tracks language learning. When you successfully complete an activity you earn that skill (or badge), but that skill starts degrading after you earn it and if you don't practice it for X number of days you lose the badge. From a training perspective this is an awesome way of tracking continuing education credits. I can say to my students, for example, if you complete any 1 of these 3 classes you earn the 'Cooking' badge, which is valid for 1 year. If you do nothing else the badge will disappear after the 1 year deadline, but each time you complete an activity that qualifies for 'Cooking' you extend the life of the badge so it is 1 year from the newest completion date. These activities could be elearning, intructor-led training events, webinars, reading a book, creating a document, etc.

I see this feature working together very well with the Learning Tracks you have already added. Qualifying for a badge could be one step in a serial path, so that you cannot progress to further activities if your badge is not current.

I'm happy to discuss this and other ideas over the LMS.

    Cheers!

Hi Sim, thanks for your continued interest.

We almost have an end-to-end solution in place (that is, Admins being able to add an assessment on the TMS, students being able to upload submissions and instructors being able to grade them).

The first step 'Admins being able to add an assessment on the TMS' is complete. I'll check to see if we can already make this go live on your instance so you could try it out.

    I'll let you know!

    All the best,

    Heather

    Hi Heather,

Thank you for the update. It is great to know that Admin able to add assessment on the TMS is done. Not sure what is the format of the assessment?

I have a suggestion for LMS, since it is a portal, we need to put up Terms and Conditions some where in the portal.

    Thank you.

    Regards,

    SIM
