Our Enhanced Data Import Feature Is Now Live!
We're excited to share a major upgrade to Import Data. This update makes importing your data faster, easier, and far less error-prone.
Here's what's new:
- You can use our provided template, or upload your own file when importing data.
- When using the provided template, List and Option fields show a dropdown of valid values, so you always know what to enter.
- Smart Header Matching automatically recognizes your column headers and values, even if they don't exactly match our template.
- If a required column is missing from your file, Import Data will automatically add it and mark it as required.
- Related fields like Phone Numbers, Addresses, and Emails have been simplified. For example, Mobile Number and Landline Number now replace four separate fields.
- Import Data now validates your data as you import it, flagging issues like invalid email addresses or incorrect Province Code formats before the import runs.
This is a gradual rollout. We're enabling it for everyone from today through tomorrow afternoon, so you'll have access shortly if you don't see it yet.
Coming Soon (Right after)
- Support for both numerical and encoded IDs. Today, only encoded IDs are supported when an ID is needed to update an entity or set a relational field. Some fields support lookups, but where a lookup isn't available, customers currently have to find the encoded ID, which isn't exposed in the reporting engine for all fields. Soon, you'll be able to provide either the numerical ID or the encoded ID and it will work.
- Conditional Validation. Some fields only become required once another field is filled in. For example, when importing Opportunities and adding an Interest, some Interest details become required. This helper automatically highlights errors and warnings before you proceed, so you know your file is ready.

Defects Resolved
- Fixed an issue where the Automator drop-down no longer displayed on Account and Contact pages.
- Fixed an issue where adding a session instructor in Docebo put the integration into a continuous loop of updating Docebo.
- Fixed an issue where transferring a Learner to another Event with compound tax caused the transfer modal to freeze.
- Fixed an issue where objective numbering ignored required objectives within objective groups on the Learners and Objectives tabs.
