Customizable Personnel Roles (live Wednesday 11th of Feb)
You can now create and manage custom Personnel Roles beyond Administrators and Instructors, giving you full flexibility for your teams such as adding roles for Facilitators, Assessors, Coaches, or Guest Trainers.
What's included in this release:
- You can create and manage Custom Personnel Roles for Events.
- You can assign a Personnel Role directly on a Contact.
- You can add Personnel with custom roles to Events.
- You can configure role-specific Communications for Event Personnel.
- Conflict checking now applies to configurable Personnel Roles.
- You can configure which roles are included in conflict checking.
- You can view and filter Personnel Roles in Reports and availability views.
- Administrators and Instructors remain system roles and cannot be edited or removed.
- We're removing the legacy Instructor and Staff pages found under People → Instructors and People → Staff.
What we're working on next:
- Calendar sync will support additional Personnel Roles and draft Events, not just published Events.
- You will be able to define required Personnel Roles and quantities on Courses and Events.
- Tasks will be assignable based on Personnel Role.
- Virtual meeting host selection will support role-based assignment.
Account and Contact UI Update (live Tuesday 10th of Feb)
The Accounts page has been refreshed to improve usability and consistency across the platform.
What's changed:
- Multi-select fields now use a compact dropdown instead of the large text area.
- Custom Fields are now grouped in a dedicated section on the Account.
- The Contacts table on an Account now includes search.
- Tabs have been renamed for clarity:
- Account history has been removed. This view was not designed to function as a full audit log and provided limited long term value.
Defects Resolved
- Learning Path Objective fields are now available as filters and output columns when creating Reports, provided the user has permission to view those fields.
- Fixed a bug where updating independent Event Sessions on an active Event Outline did not trigger an alert to notify students, staff, or admins of date or time changes.
