This is Step 2 of 5 setup objectives that will get you to Your 1st Event:

Your Tasks:
*The below follow on from previously completed learning objectives
- Create accounts: Salsero, Home Chef
- Create venue: Salsero Headquarters
- Create contacts: Tricia Yardling (instructor), Freddy Mantle (student)
Your Procedure:
Working in your sandbox environment, use the following procedures to configure background setting elements.
NOTES:
Procedures follow the demonstration video exactly; if you get stuck, refer back to the video for visual support.

Task six: create your new accounts, Home Chef and Salsero
- Click CRM in the top left
- Click Accounts
- Click the New Account button
- Add the account name: Home Chef
- Check the “Partner” checkbox on the right
- Click “Create Account”
NOTE: as desired, you can add all sorts of additional account information in the default fields provided - as well as add custom fields unique to your needs - but we’ll do this at a later date.
Our Home Chef account is now in place, now let’s add Salsero.
- Click CRM in the top left
- Click accounts
- Click the New Account button in the upper right
- Add the Account name: Salsero
- Check the “Supplier” checkbox on the right
- Check the “Venue” checkbox
- Click “Create Account” to save

Task seven: add a new venue to the Salsero account you just created
- Click the Event tab at the top left of the Salsero account
- Click the New Venue button on the right
- Enter venue details so we can call them into merge fields on communications later:
- Name = Salsero Headquarters
- Location = Toronto
- Description = 123 Maple Leaf Way, Toronto, Ontario, M5K
- Click the Add New Venue button to save

Task eight: add your contacts, Tricia Yardling (instructor) and Freddy Mantle (student)
- Click the Search icon - the magnifying glass - in the upper right corner
- Type Salsero and click Search
- Click the Salsero hyperlink that results under the Accounts header
- Scroll down the page and click the New Contact button
- Type Tricia in the First Name field
- Type Yardling in the Last Name field
- Type tyardling@salsero.com in the Email (Primary) field
- Click into the dropdown field under Contact Identity and select Instructor
- Click the Submit button to save the new contact
- Click the Search icon - a magnifying glass - in the upper right corner
- Type Home Chef and click Search
- Click the Home Chef hyperlink that results under the Accounts header
- Scroll down the page and click the New Contact button
- Type Freddy in the First Name field
- Type Mantle in the Last Name field
- Type Freddy’s email address in the Email (Primary) field
NOTE: this will be the student you use for training; as such, you’ll need to use the email associated with your sandbox so you can verify communications that get sent in a later step.
