During the installation of the Administrate LMS app, found in your Salesforce Marketplace, you will be asked to install the app for your users on Salesforce.
Select the first option Install for Admins Only and click Install.

Click Done once the app has been successfully installed. There are a few options you need to set before being able to use the app.
The screenshots documented below relate to the Salesforce Lightning user interface mode. If you are using Classic mode, the screens you will be presented are very similar, with differences mostly in styling and structure of the items in the navigation side bar. Any differences are reported where relevant.
Installation instructions
Enter the Salesforce setup screen, accessible by clicking the Settings icon on the top right-hand side of the screen, or the Setup link if you are in classic mode.
Step 1
Navigate to Users > Profiles. (in Classic mode: Administer > Manage Users > Profiles).
Edit the profile you wish to have access to the LMS tab. Make sure the two settings shown below are set and click Save.

Make sure Administrate LMS is checked and the LMS option is set to Default On.
For some profiles, you may also need to grant access to the Visualforce page. Scroll down to the section labelled Enabled Visualforce Page Access and click Edit:
Then add the administrate.LMS page and click Save:
Step 2
Go to Platform Tools > Apps > Connected Apps > Manage Connected Apps. (in Classic mode: Administer > Manage Apps > Connected Apps).
Click Edit next to Administrate LMS.
On the Permitted User dropdown, select Admin approved users are pre-authorized and click Save.

Step 3
For this step you will need your Salesforce Organisation ID. To find this, navigate to Company Settings > Company Information on the side bar. (in Classic mode: Administer > Company Profile > Company Information).
The screen you will be presented contains the Salesforce.com Organization ID. Copy this ID as you will need it below.
Log in to your Administrate account and go to Settings > Integrations. Click Activate on the Salesforce LMS integration. You need to enter the Salesforce Organisation ID copied above. Once you entered the ID, click Generate which will give you a Key. Copy this Key as you will need it in Salesforce for the next step. Click Save.

Step 4
When back in Salesforce with your copied key, navigate to Custom Code > Custom Settings. (in Classic mode:Build > Develop > Custom Settings).
Select the Manage link next to Administrate Settings.

Then, once in Administrate Settings, click New.

Then paste the Key you previously copied into the LMS Key field shown below. Click Save.

That’s it, you are all done!
