Administrate’s global search function allows you to search the system to quickly find:
|Accounts:||By Account name, Website, Email.|
|Contacts:||By First name, Surname, Email.|
|Opportunities:||By Opportunity Name.|
|Sales Invoices:||By Invoice number.|
|Purchase Invoices:||By Invoice number.|
|General Journal Entries:||By Journal number.|
|Documents:||by Document name.|
|Courses:||by Course Code.|
NOTE: If you use the Administrate API and set an external_id, the external_id fields are searchable via this tool as well.
- Click on the magnifying glass in the menu bar or open the search dialogue with your keyboard by pressing CTRL + SHIFT + SPACE
- Enter your search term. By default only accounts and contacts will be searched. Select the correct entity from the list to search other entities.
- Click on your result from the list returned.
NOTE: It’s a good idea to search before adding Accounts to prevent similar accounts being created e.g. Company Ltd. and Company Limited. Click ‘Create Account’ if you’re certain that the account you wish to add does not already exist.
